Virtual Shell
A three-dimensional anthropomorphic object exists in virtual space as a speculative model of an adaptive shell. The shell acts here as a metaphor for a protective shell that simultaneously isolates the subject and allows interaction with the new environment. Placed in virtual space, this temporary form of adaptation lacks a stable foundation. It is a form through which the subject builds relationships with the new environment in the face of cultural and linguistic displacement.
