Noise
This video work consists of a looped sequence of urban fragments. These images repeat and gradually accelerate, accompanied by the reversed sound of a subway train.
The work explores the psychological experience of adaptation.
The accelerating rhythm transforms these ordinary objects into a visual and sonic landscape of disorientation. The reversed subway sound evokes movement without arrival, a journey suspended between departure and destination.
The loop structure reflects the repetitive mental process of navigating an unfamiliar environment, searching for points of reference, and reconstructing a sense of belonging.
the work focuses on the sensory and emotional conditions of adaptation: uncertainty, vigilance, alienation, and the gradual attempt to establish new connections with a changing environment.
The video work was shown at the sxhibition of Video art in Lendoc Film Studio, St. Petersburg, Russia , 2021
