Digitalization as a way to embed decorative art in the modern context.
Carpet weaving is one of the oldest types of decorative art.
The term digitalization suggests something in between digitization and digitalization.
Digital carpet in this sense is a modern look at carpet weaving, it is a departure from the utilitarianism of the carpet, giving a new meaning to the image of the carpet, a way of reproducing the carpet, the ability to insert the carpet as a work of art into a modern context.
