Digital Carpet
Digital Carpet is a square-format video artwork inspired by the visual language of traditional ornamental carpets. Bright geometric patterns unfold across the screen, referencing cultural memory, craftsmanship, and systems of symbolic communication. However, the image is continuously interrupted by digital glitches, distortions, and signal noise. The work explores the encounter between heritage and technology, where a familiar decorative structure becomes unstable and fragmented.
The carpet, traditionally associated with home, identity, and continuity, is transformed into a digital surface vulnerable to interruption and corruption.
The work reflects on how cultural memory adapts within digital environments, where information is endlessly reproduced, altered, and reinterpreted.
The video work was shown at the Video Art Festival, The One Night Public Gallery, Ljubljana, Slovenia, 2021
